How to achieve colored haze light effect in CS5

I ran across this effect (see link). interested in trying on some of my photos but can't find a tutorial. Does anyone know how I would achieve this effect in photoshop?

The quick and easy way, is to create a new layer first. Then select the colour you want your haze to be and paint using your choice of tool (brush, paint bucket etc). Once you have painted i where you want it to be on your image, change the layers blend mode to screen and adjust the opacity as desired.
- This one if done with a soft edged paintbrush will give you the blue haze effect in the image.

If you want to do the orange haze' effect in the image. I would create another layer for that, then fill the entire layer with the colour you want the image to be. Then add a layer mask to the layer and then use the gradient tool going from black to white and then add the gradient to the layer and you will get the desired effect. Dont forget to also change this layers blend mode to screen as well.
