I love shots like that. A lot of history there. I try and imagine what it would have been like in the air over Germany but I don't have enough imagination.

I spoke with a man who was the top turret gunner on the B-24 that was parked next to this B-17.... and SCraig... you're right... we don't have enough imagination... I'm sorry for his nightmares...

Yeah, I know. When I was learning to fly there I saw a guy at the airport a few times who was a B-17 pilot during WWII. He would occasionally talk about it but not very often.
