Howzit! - an introduction from South Africa

HI guys! im new(ish) here!

im wesley and im from South Africa! just passed my matric and did pretty well at it to (overall average was B

)

anyway on to the good stuff! i am an amateur photographer who (much like everyone else here) wants to boost my photography and experience At the moment i currently own a Canon 1100D (will look at getting the 60D sometime soon or when the 1100 fails). In terms of glass i have the standard 18-55, a Sigma 70 - 300 non apo and my latest addition: the Canon 50mm f1.8 (which has only come off my camera once since getting it!)

other than the above mentioned stuff i am heavily into IT and anything electronic. I know the basics to c++ and often create little Ardunio projects for myself. This year i have been offered a scholarship from my school to study through them (as a Microsoft academy)

so yeah.. thats me! :lol:

Welcome to TPF! The best way to learn from this site is read read read read read, post some photos in the general gallery (try to limit each thread to 2-3 photos for the best response), and take all of the criticism as a chance to learn!

i have already posted a batch of photos to a thread (somewhere) and got some useful crits. the one thing i am also trying to achieve is just to get exposure. Its always nice to have people appriciate your photographs
