Wouldn't get me within a 1000 MM lens of that mouth

Cool pose and good composition and color. However, the DOF is really odd here. You needed a smaller aperture to not get the blurry nose situation. And in what looks like the heat of the unshaded safari day, you probably had enough light.

Obviously, depending on the circumstances, maybe not the inclination to sit around worrying about aperture. But you know, just saying.

Probably could have but had to make a quick decision as to focusing on the tip and risking letting the eyes go out of focus or pushing the focus back a bit, I was actually quite close maybe around 6/7ft with a 80-200 so the focus was quite tight

I am rather surprised by the limited teeth. I have shot crocs with more and much larger teeth. Did you realize by the way that their top speed is 30 mph.?
