I am excited as I found an adapter for my old lenses to work on my modern camera

When I was in Junior High I became enthralled with Photography after taking a six week course that was part of a rotating curriculum that my school had.

I liked it so much I became the School Photographer and took lot's of photo's for the Yearbook as well as shots from Basketball, Football, Baseball, and Track. Some of those sports shots were even published in my local Newspapers.

In addition to the school provided Camera, I also had a Pentax K1000 and a few lenses that I really loved.

Imagine my excitement when I found an adapter on Amazon that will allow me to use my Prime 135mm F2.8 lens on my Canon Rebel T7.

I hope it works as advertised as I was able to take all sorts of great shots with it back in the day.

I am curious as to how the field of view will appear on my crop-sensor camera but will cross that bridge when I get to it.

Just make sure you understand how crop factor works with adapted lenses. Tons online if you don't.

I'm excited for you, but be prepared for a different experience considering the crop factor, as you are already aware. I enjoy using 135mm on a full frame, but my experience using a 135mm on a cropped sensor body wasn't that enjoyable, as I personally don't like having to be so far back from my subjects to use it. Some people prefer that though, and if that's the case I really hope you get a lot of use and enjoyment out of it.

Yes, I understand.

I also understand that many do not.

Usage of this lens is a thrill because this lens was my "go to" on my personal camera that I used alongside the school's camera.

LOL, yeah, I caught many candid shots that I could never have gotten if the subjects saw me.

Many of those shots, at least the ones I turned in to the Yearbook Crew ,made their way in to the final copy.

The adapter allows a Pentax K lens to be used on a Canon EF-S Camera.

Should be lots to choose from. Keep in mind not every oldie, regardless of mount, is a winner.

Back in the film days, I had a Canon FD 50mm f/3.5 lens that I loved. I used it for close-ups and macro, for very edge-to-edge sharp images. When I went to digital, I traded all my Canon stuff and switched to Nikon, and had to let the lens go. Now, many years later, with mirrorless cameras and many third-party adapters on the market, I was able to get a like-new FD 50mm and an adapter to use this lens on my Nikons. The journey continues...

I do not intend to start collecting more Pentax K mount lenses, just using the ones I already have from the past.

The 135mm F2.8 prime I am most excited to try on my Canon used to take very good pictures in both B&W and Color. Using good low ISO film and the proper aperture yielded results the local newspapers could blow up for their sports page.

Caught our State Champion Track runner breaking the ribbon with that lens and it was published!

It made her day and mine too!
