What's new

I am **********

I guess there's a little truth to the old adage my grandmother use to say, "Never take your D80 into a simulated combat."

Check your credit card policy, mine gives me free 90 day coverage on all purchases, I think that might even include travel insurance when I buy flights.

Funny though how you complained about not affording the price of insurance and then went the fraud route which in turn bumps up the price of insurance for you to complain about in the first place. Isn't that just how it goes.

I am surprised so many people here are ready and willing to recommend fraud as a way to recover $300. I have a ton of respect for you as a soldier, but I would have even more if you took this as a lesson learned and purchased a new lens.

Justify all you want, but there is only one way to handle this honestly. Good luck with your decision.
I don't think any type of fraud is really necesarry here as I said being a former Ritz employee, sometimes a store will sell the policy on broken gear if it is relly close to the selling time.

Well I never complained about the price. I fully understood the price. I paid cash and there were two factors, one the lowest price listed was 400 bucks for 2 years on the camera and lens, i did not have that money on me. 2 if I would have sat down to fill out the warantee paperwork I would have been late for work. I went online and found the 1 year plan on the lens. The camera is fine, the lens is all that broke, and as far as fraud, I would consider it bad luck, and I feel somewhat guilty, but I would have got insurance on it within ten days anyway, it just happened to be the same day I bought it. All my other expensive stuff is insured right now, except my computers cause I can fix them myself lol.
