What's new

I don't understand

I lied it was published in 1981 but it was still a good book!

Is that book still in print? I had the 70's version and loved it! Unfortunately a few yeasrs ago I was cleaning out my garage and got rid of it thinking I will never get a DSLR and will only be using P&Ss. Today I wish I still had it! Great book.

The fundamentals of photography didn't change when everything went digital... ;)

A film era book might actually be better, because it will teach you not to rely on the LCD so much.

Sure it has ... you can become professional in 6 weeks it seems ...

And all you need to do is PP everything! :lmao:

OK guys, thanks again for the advice. I went to a Seawolves game the other day and when I wasn't busy with my older son, I managed to get a few decent photos. Good timing, and the slower shutter was cool...but I did no PP to them as I'm not very familiar with photoshop elements 8 that I have. You're free to edit these if you'd like to, just PLEASE explain to me what you did and why. Have fun with em, and thanks in advance, Jeff

These shots are kind of boring..they are too far out of the main subject and don't really capture anything emotional or nice. What is it about the images u like?

I don't see how Photoshop could make them more interesting.

When doing sports, you need to be in close to capture faces, eyes, emotions. Sides of heads and partially frozen action are kind of drab
