If you use it from 9-5, and make use of the programs you said you'll need, and make sure to take good care of it... and are far more productive with this laptop, then I would say it was a good investment.

Doubting yourself about the price is not going to help your 9-5, right? If you were able to afford it and are happy with the purchase, make the best of it.
