Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
In image attached is requirements for school I'll be attending for a BS in digital photography. I have none of the equipment yet and I need help choosing the right camera. I feel like I should lean more towards Sony or Canon, not really sure. Any help would be great.

Thank you,
Jake.

Entry-level ILC or MILC cameras should do you. You really need to do your own research on Google. Such questions are numbingly general and repeatedly asked here and elsewhere. Come back with specifics on bodies and lenses. Otherwise, it's like asking what color socks to wear tomorrow.

I use pretty much only Nikon. Why? Because I always have and I'm just somewhat familiar with them. I looked at a Canon few years ago and nothing clicked for me. Oh yea, my Nikon's have been around a long time and I still can't used everything, I don't know if anyone can. If you've no experience to speak of, won't matter what you get. Gonna be an all new to me thing!

If the brand was important, it would have been mentioned in the (clearly defined) requirements!

Another can of worms! I know from experience that choosing a camera can be overwhelming, there is just so information to process. Because this is your first foray into the world of photography I would opt for APS-C and specifically, Fujifilm. Cannon and Nikon don't really support the format and as such lens selection is limited. Fujifilm on the other hand has a huge selection of lenses that will not only work on older bodies but newer ones as well. You will be spoilt for choice.

Some Fujifilm bodies worth considering are the X-S10, X-T3 & 4 (both weather sealed and built like tanks) and a bit of a wildcard, the X-H1. I recently purchased the latter, and yes it is a brick, but it is still an incredible camera and can be picked up used for just over £500 from MPB.

Check out my portfolio, all those photos were captured with my X-T3, X-H1, and my first DSLR a Nikon D5600 (well not all, there are a few from my Lumix LX15).
