I visited another loch today and it was very quiet and still, im still playing with HDR... I was going for a kind of "moody" or "spooky" shot, Id love some thoughts on these pictures Im struggling to decide wich one I like best........or if I like any at all!... somethings missing I think?!

Thanks for looking :)

The third is the moodiest for me. Not bad overall, but the first just seems like it's nighttime and the sky is a weird purple.

What does #2 look like with just a little bit of processing? WB, curves maybe.... The Halo effect is kinda distracting.

4 strikes me as the better of the set although I am not so sure about the heavy blue. I think it conveys the "moody" look you are trying to achieve. There's a couple yellowish specs in the sky that seems out of place.

Neat location, nice lighting (or processing?). The compositions lack creativity, though. Very much dead-on inventory shots for the most part. Watch the horizon, btw... angles are fine, but only when intentional.

I like No. 4 too, it's quite nice! No. 2 is interesting, but a bit too overprocessed for my personal tastes.

Don't forget to straighten out your horizon on shots like this - the first one in particular looks pretty crooked.

Thanks, ill take everything on board, I might try some different crops.. and straighten up my pics!

I like the second one a lot... But I think cutting off a bit of the empty space at the top and bottom might help (re-crop)

I think I like #2 the best overall, but if you're going for moody/spooky I think #3 wins. #4 could work too if you edited the colours to look more like those in #3 (less purple).

In #1 and #3 I think you picked a good subject, but like manaheim said, the shots are very dead-on and kind of boring. And I think they would be nicer if the branches weren't cut out of the frame.
