Friggin scary I tell you that The fact that that the only source of light is the aquarium is quite eerie. I would bump up the exposure on the 3rd though, quite underexposed.

scary? hmm interesting perspective. I have been spending much time practicing with low light photography and embracing what ever light source I have available. I don't see it as a scary image. I see it as a pretty accurate representation what it was like when I shot the photos. Everything very dark except his face. IDK, maybe I have on mommy goggles; trying to be artistic. Thanks anyway!

I like #2. The others not so much.
I like the perspective of 2 and the focus on the child's profile and eyelash - though the images are a tad small to tell if you nailed focus or not.

It's hard to tell at this size, they seem a bit too dark. I see what you were going for however.

I am looking at this now on my screen and earlier today on my iPhone. I'd like to suggest that the poster that commented that it was scary was indeed finding the shots interestingly haunting. My knee jerk when I saw the first one today on that tiny iPhone screen was Chucky. I realize this was not your intent, but you might just have suceeded at somehting you did not intend to create. Now I recognize this is your child, but I am not looking at these shots as tho they were from a protective mama lion with a low lighting story.

I really like the way the first one came out.

Thanks everyone. I am sure the focus is not 'nailed'. these were shot at 3200 iso (my camera's max) and I am not even sure of the fstop off hand, I know it was wide. I sort of give up on nailing the focus when I shoot at high isos and just take any focus I can get since the pics turn out so grainy anyway. #1 was my favorite too. I wonder if the shot is just creepy itself (dark/grainy) or if I could do something in pp to make it less creepy? Thanks for the feedback! I still love the photos but I like knowing what others see too!

I could take them lighter but then the night light would be blown and I liked that you could 'kinda' make out shapes/fish in it
