I'm Back (to photography)

Hey guys, I'm new to this site, but not to photography. I took a course in middle school where i worked with manual cameras, and the dark room. however i've forgotten a lot. I just got a Canon Rebel T1i and am getting back into photography. One of the main reasons I want to snap great pics is to make wallpapers. One of the techniques i want to get down, is hdr. I have made some in the past, however they never look as good as the pros. Montreal is beautiful and there are lots of nice pictures to take, and i would like to take great pictures and share them with everyone!
