Thousand people were waiting outside The Lee Gardens to buy British designer Anya Hindmarch's bag in Hong Kong. Hundreds of whom had queued overnight. The asia limited edition I'm not a plastic bag sold or HK$120 (US$23). The bag selling only 2,000 in Hong Kong.

I googled it and here's a picture of the bag. Hideous, who would be disappointed about this. You could make one on cafepress that said the same thing. I dunno, I wouldn't wrap myself around a block waiting in line for a dumb grocery bag!

it is sad that being enviornmentally aware has to become trendy before people take action. don't get me wrong, i am glad to see a line around the block for a bag, but quite frankly, whole foods sells them for a dollar.

Haha, here in Taiwan things got even more out of hand. It was an honest-to-goodness melee. People were hospitalized. Brand slaves. sad.

it was reported on the news the bag was wrapped in plastic for sale so kinda defeats the object really love the aftermath pic!
