Actually it is powerful. LOL I attach a Better-Beamer to it and get it up off camera for bird shots when some fill is needed. The 580 ex II w/ better beamer has a lot of reach!

i have a nikon and i dont even know what you've got but dont worry about it. as someone said above its the photographer. as many will also say many decisions are made by the feel of the camera and how they like the setup. thats how i picked. just because its a nikon or canon dosent mean your gonna gets amazing pictures with one and $**t with the other.

i've got two close friends that have canons and swear by them but i went the other way.
dont be afraid to shoot just because of the brand

Get over it, it doesn't matter. I make as good photos with my friend's XSi as I can with my D40. It just takes me a little time to get used the controls, that's all.

I'll bet I can make the same photos with any Sony, Pentax or Olympus, as well.
