Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
On a cold, desolate, Northern Minnesotan winter morning, one photographer, one camera; this is the outcome of that awful match-up:

looks very chilly!

a bit flat.
and OOF.

welcome back!

You got the desolate part down.
But I agree with the above, looks pretty out of focus and flat in terms of tones and contrast.

I used my wide-angle lens that has an awful chromatic-aberration issue and when converted to B&W, the "purple-fringing" instead resembles soft-edge-focus. Also, there would have been a sunrise but alas it was heavily clouded and so absolutely no shadows were present and I bracketed these shots and merged them in CS5.

Thank you for the comments. Much appreciated. Didn't mean to disappear, but we moved office locations and its cold up here during the winter and rather bleak. Don't seem to be much interested in going out in subzero temps just to capture gray photos.

Id adjust the contrast perhaps? Seems a little flat to me. Thats just me though:) Welcome back!

Here is a super quick edit using my Microsoft Photo Editor installed on my work PC. ie - this sucks but should give you an idea

All I did was tweak contrast and brightness
I would throw some sharpening in, but the MS Editor doesn't have that function :lmao:

It was VERY lifeless when I captured this photo. Not a bird chirping, heck, the sun wouldn't even come out from behind the clouds. Still glad I was there...

a typical pre winter scene in denmark, snow drifts up to 3 metres, nice picture, said with out critisism (yes i cant spell it)

criticism...

that's some pretty tall snowdrifts for sure....great for tunneling through though....

Do you know how much Dew I had to drink to melt all the snow around the hydrant? How hardcore does one have to be as a photographer?
