I think you're right. He wanted to have one of his pictures in his hand, and the editor wanted him holding his camera. I thought it would have been too much and tried this. I only had a short time to do it, so we just snapped of a few shots to see what worked. Having a digital was a real plus.

The color on the book cover shifted a bit when then printed it, but I still liked how it turned out. Just seeing it on Amazon (even though they are the Evil Empire) is such a thrill. Here's the original.
