inconsistent login problem

I use IE & Firefox with Windows XP both from home and from work. For some reason the past week or so I can login sometimes and not at other times. There seems to be no pattern. Anyone else having inconsistent login trouble? Any ideas from the site managers? Thanks.

I'm left logged in all the time since I only really use a single computer to which I am the only user and I havn't had any problems over the last week at all
