i need to put together a new computer, im looking for an inexpensive and reliable website to buy the stuff i need from. does anyone know of any? iv been looking at xpcgear.com but havnt purchesed from them before and dont wanna get screwed, their prices seem a little low.

You should try http://www.tigerdirect.com.

I don't know how the American site is, but I've bought stuff from the Canadian (tigerdirect.ca) affiliate and I haven’t had any problems. They have good prices and speedy delivery. Their fixed shipping costs can be high if you don't buy multiple items though.

Pricescan.com is good for pointing you in the right direction and I've had great results with newegg.com.
HTH.

www.zipzoomfly.com sometimes has some good prices. I'm getting ready to buy all my computer parts from there and other than the case that I'm going to order separately it is all free second day shipping.

I agree with Twist, I've bought parts and whole systems from http://www.tigerdirect.com and have never had an issue. The prices are usually pretty good.

all my hardware friends use newegg. they say it's rock-solidly-reliable and good prices too. I've heard there are places with marginally better prices out there, but my friends choose to go with newegg's reliability and return policies.
