Walking this morning at a county park I followed some deer into the forest. Unfortunately the park is severely infested with Asian Honeysuckle. I grabbed a couple wintery snaps of the evil stuff -- it's ugly, and continued on my walk. Fuji X-T2 w/18-55mm
Asian honeysuckle is an invasive (we brought it here). It's so destructive that the Missouri DNR some years back ran an ad campaign called Enemy of the State: https://roanokeparkkc.org/images/stories/2014-10-12/stop-honeysuckle-org-1024x400.jpg It's destroyed untold acres of our and many States' native forests. This evil plant is allelopathic (releases chemicals that harm other plants) and will eventually infest an area and become a monoculture as it kills off all competition.
