Do you know if this is the harpy eagle?

Here is another picture of this bird of prey and you can better see what the feathering is. But maybe it is a buzzard or a hawk?

I would think that too but searching through the hawk images I see more color in them and this one is just black and white.

Although I am no ornithologist, I agree with PerfectlyFlawed, this is most likely a hawk. One of the ways I have told hawks and eagles apart is the size of their beaks and the length of their necks. Hawks have shorter, stouter necks and smaller beaks. Eagles on the other hand, have longer, slimmer necks and larger and longer beaks.

Yes, guys. I would think so too but when Miladymimi suggested the name, I looked up on Wikipedia and there they write that it is from hawk and eagle family. So, maybe, it is just a special bird. By the pictures in Wikipedia and in other places in internet it matches well. Here are google images.

The photos pretty much make it unmistakable, though I have admittedly never heard of the hawk-eagle family! You learn something new every day! Thanks!
