Is this HDR???

Looking for opions on how this look was achieved... Is this HDR or just some creative post editing?

Lots of halo artifacts around the contrasty details on the guy -> high probability that some local contrast tonemapping used like one in photomatrix. Also some manual dodging/burning in left lower corner. Personally I think all this looks totally ugly.

I think it was just tonemapped, processed like one would do in an HDR but I don't think it's actually compiled of mutlitple shots. My guess is a single tonemapped overprocessed image. Or I'm wrong.

For me, it's not the processing which hurts this photo, but the angle at which it was shot. It would've been much better if we could see more of the bow and they guy's face...
