interesting Jesus with those boots.. i liked 3 and 4 but wish the sky was a little more 'active' or joyful in 3..

It was less than a joyful day in good ol' Paris Texas that day! That's actually from a gravesite. If memory serves it was done in 1882. I'm assuming hand carved. Pretty neat stuff.

i drove over 5 hours to find that place and was so disappointed to find out how high "jesus and his boots" were and how short i was

i took a few shots anyway , i will have to go back to the files and pull them out (they were film and black and white)

the lighting for that images is not very good, as it is in a very dark location and surrounded by some very tall trees, etc. so i think you did a good job in those conditions.

Thank you Ann. I'm originally from there and hadn't been out to the cemetery in a very long time. I too forgot how tall it was. Next time I'll take a ladder!! ha!

however, i was on my way home from a workshop in ft. worth to atlanta and no ladder in site and no way to climb up on top of the car.

i also made a stop at another out of the way place in texas, don't remember the name to take a photo of the fallen angel. She is very cool .

i have a cemetery project that has been going on for years; and it is always fun to find something to add to the project.
