Very nice image. This is what I would call an "intimate" landscape as compared to the often typical "grand" landscapes that most people envisage. Not sure about the birds, could take them or leave them. There also seems to be a bit of a halo of some kind on the right side of the barn along the roof line - not sure if halo is the correct terminology - down to the tops of the trees. I really like the clouds. I think they go along way to "making" this image.

Yes, I see that too and wish I knew how to correct it. I'm just learning Photoshop, Sony birds look kinda wonky... Could be my technique or the birds I found lol not sure..

Halos can be caused by many things, mostly, in my experience, by some form of over processing, over sharpening, a little too much tone mapping from an HDR conversion, a little too much of the clarity slider, maybe, even a conversion to JPG, etc. They tend to be most prominent at interfaces between high contrast edges.

I also noticed that if you follow the barn roof/sky interface down the barn roof-line to the tree line and then to the right edge of the image, there is also slight whitish halo along the tree-line.

Since I don't know how you processed this image, it is difficult to say what might cause it, but it is definitely something going on at the interface between the barn roof, the tree-line and the sky. Couple of things. It almost appears as if you have masking lines appearing. When you add selections to new layers what blending mode are you using. When you're dodging and burning are you doing it on a 50% gray layer, rather than on a copy of the image?
