Just a rose. Your C&C welcome

I've never been very good at titling my pictures, so I'll keep it basic. I'm pretty happy with the picture, and i like the simple feel. I'm not crazy about the way the depth of field is so narrow on the concrete, but I can think of no way to avoid this besides retouching. Comments and criticism would be greatly appreciated; let me know what you think! ISO 640, f-stop 4.8, shutter speed 1/1600 second. PP involved: boosted contrast and reduced saturation.

Yes, very beautiful rose. Any chance to brighten it up a bit? Looks a tad dark.

Mully, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "open it up". Does that mean a taller crop lengthwise? OldHippy and Propilot, thanks much! I thought it seemed a bit dark, but i was going for a bit underexposed to try and make it feel a bit dreary. How's this?
