Just got a Cambo 4x5 large format view camera...

Hi Everyone!


I worked a lot with this camera when I was in college at SAIC, but the cameras were already put together. The camera I just got, which is the same one, came in different pieces. Obviously, the last thing I want to do is attempt to put it together and risk damaging it in anyway.

Is anyone familiar with this? My biggest concern is actually attaching the monorail to the camera. Any advice would be great, or if anyone is aware of videos out there that might give a tutorial? I searched on YouTube but came up empty handed, which kind of surprised me a little.

Hi Brittany - it should just slide somehow on the bottom...maybe the rail will catch and you need to turn the knobs to get it going? My 5x7 is similar.
