Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set

Hello

Umm... I'm Kinda new to Photography, I want to buy extension tubes (cant afford a macro lens now) these to be exact Kenko | Auto Extension Tube Set DG for Canon EOS | AEXTUBEDGC and i was wondering if i would still be able to auto focus with my EFS18-55mm lens

You will retain all the normal lens operations with those tubes as they have the electrical contacts which retain communication between the camera and the lens - so metering, aperture blade control and focusing will all remain functional.

AF might degrade in speed and accuracy depending on the lighting as well as the amount of tubes you add since the more tube you add the more light loss there is inside the lens setup. Generally speaking those most macro work is done with manual focus as most find it far more reliable and accurate than auto focus. With tubes it can vary a lot more - as I said depending on how much you add

I usually use manual focusing for macro i just wanted to know if i ever use the tubes for something other then macro photography.
