kodak creo iqsmart 3. How do you do multiple 35mm strips?

Hi, I need to scan multiple 35mm film strips at the same time, and the method suggested in the manual seems barbaric and clearly a non-archival process (manual suggests taping strips down to a mask). I can't put them on the glass directly because it's too risky. What would you do?

Not sure what you are worried about. What sort of tape are you using? It's quite normal to tape film down, and it isn't barbaric or non-archival. What's risky about putting the film on the glass? It should be AN glass on a standard iQsmart3, and you have a proper scanner that will focus, not a fixed focus scanner.
