During my brief visit I took mine from your foreground (the planetarium). Much better having the planetarium in the foreground that at your back IMO. This must've been up in the hills near the Hollywood sign? Too bad I didn't think of that! Also looks like a decent smogless day. Very nice!

Not quite that far back near the Hollywood sign, but yes from the hiking trails behind the observatory.
