I am not quite sure what the "illusion" is, but I the reflection is great. You might think about lightening up the sky a bit towards the top of the image.

What is going on here?
How can there be houses in the "reflection" that aren't there in "reality"? What is what here? There's bank on the left, seemingly reflected at a higher point within the frame than the rest... could this be a composite? Hence the "illusion"?

Anyway: I also think the almost black sky in the upper righthand corner is more distracting than helping.

Very nice shot. The darkness at the top of the frame is too much I would tone that down a little. Also clone that little bit of a tree on the right out. I think those two things will make it stronger.

I agree with comments on the darkness but this is still a cool image IMO

I like that it's flipped - very interesting. The darkness of the sky/tree at the top and bottom don't bother me too much as it simply appears to be part of a vignetting effect. The main thing I find slightly distracting is the small amount of tree on the right edge of the photo. The house is also slightly distracting insomuch as it's not in the reflection because of its distance from the water. But I'm not sure how you could get rid of the house either so......

As the other's figured out, just turn your monitor upside down and everything will become crystal clear...much like the reflection early that morning...

I did look into removing the buildings, but the owners complained about the time frame...

Also, without them, there would be no 'effect'...

Wait what? Turn the monitor upside down? Crap, that sounds a lot easier than standing on my head like I have been doing......
