The title is a little confusing since the chair looks pretty new. I do like the overgrowth and the age in the shot

"Left to die" not "Dead" i like the title.

That is going to take some time, 40 -50 years ? Make a story out of this, go back in a few months and record the progress of deteriration.

You know I might just do that! It is a derelict area so it will probably still be there!

I love photos of chairs, especially in this sort of setting, and take a lot of them myself. In this one, I'm not sure the sky helps it - seems a bit of a distraction to me. I would try cropping most of it out, which would also raise what looks like a cross on the fence higher in the frame, and would make the chair and that cross the dominant elements in the composition. I tend to like square crops on many images, but it is not everyone's cup of tea.

Thank you, I'm hoping to try to get the same shot with a better sky, It is very bland and rainy here in the UK at the moment!

That would make a cool project. You should find a way to mark your location, possibly on a tripod, so each shot is identical. It would be fun to watch it break down through the seasons.
