Lense question

i just started getting into photography, and so i didnt start with a big super Dslr, although i wish i did (money was an issue). i have a kodak dx7630 (6.1 megapixels, standard 3x zoom, but good manual controls) and i was wondering if there is any hope in looking for add on lenses. i know you can buy adapters from kodak so you can add on kodak lenses but they are really cheap. i've been looking at some nikon nikkor lenses (telephoto and wide angle) and i was curious wether or not any other type of brand lens would fit.
