Would like to know if buying a lexar pro 600x will clear my buffer for burst shots faster verses a regular class 10 card my camera is a Nikon D5100?

Yes it will but the price to performance ration isn't worth it.

What card do you suggest I get and what size I have read that you should stay small in case of failure what's your thoughts on that?

Well I just checked the prices on the 600X SD cards and the Class 10 cards Both 16GB and I'd say that 600X is at a very good price to ignore. I'd grab the 600X Lexar.

I tend to stick to 16/32GB for my stills and 64GB for my video files. Since your on a D5100 I'd say 16GB would be enough that's roughly about 900 images on full RAW format. And if I choose to go larger I ALWAYS transfer my pictures to my computer.

I got the lexar pro 16gb 600x and it is faster than a regular card thank you

I am kinda pissed because I got lexar's UDMA 6 32gig CF that's rated 600x, and although my 5d 3 says buffer size is 10 shots, it stops shooting on the 7th shot. Makes my 9 shot multi exposure bursts useless. Is there something wrong with it or is that normal?

I don't use SD cards and I shoot full raw. I saw other people say their 5d3 does 15 shots without interruptions at iso 100 f/4 with lower rated cards.
