Nice shot. Have you ever been to the Circle B Bar Reserve at Lakeland? They seem to have a lot of Limpkins there. More than I have seen anywhere else.

I shot one there last month and one over at the Viera Wetlands area. We so seldom get them up this far north because of the lack of snails.

Interesting, thanks for the info. When I first visited the Circle B Bar, I noticed all these piles of snail shells in the marsh along the trails. Then I saw a Limpkin and another one...it took me a while, but I made the connection - they eat snails, in particular - Apple snails (found this out later from my bird book).
