Very nice exposure and lighting. I would either have shown all the legs or cropped tighter if he was standing on something man made.

thanks...nothing man made, branch I think..have to go back...i framed for the head...i'll post some full body shots later.

Beautifully composed shot. I would like to see a little bit more detail in the head and neck, but you do what you can with the exposure, i guess. Another :thumbup: from me.

i'll put a shot with legs in then. i have quite a few blue heron shots including 3-4 of this individual.
