Ummm - you scratch my head and I'll scratch yours? 
I suspect that this is the sort of thing they do as an approach to establishing dominance?
Their coats seem a little worse for wear. Any idea what the problem is, if any?

Our winter this year was from January 9-11. Other than that, it's been the mildest - warmest "winter" I can remember. Everything that should be blooming two to three weeks from now has been in full bloom for over two weeks. Shedding winter coats is in full swing.
