Little grass-a-hoppah

Although this red-legged grasshopper looks huge in the photo, it was not even an inch long. I cooled the bugger down a little in the fridge and photographed it in my light tent with a Nikon F4S, 55mm Micro Nikkor mounted reversed on a Nikon PB-6 bellows and Kodak Ektar 100 film. He warmed up in a couple of minutes so I took him outside and "liberated" him!

The negative was scanned using a Nikon CoolScan LS-8000.

Oh wow, that is once big close up! I really like the angle this was shot at, gives it such an intimidating look.
