Hi, I'm new to the forum and I have a few questions. I'm thinking of making the moove to professional livestock photography, but I've run into a few barriers:

1) How do you overcome the stereotypes associated with livestock? Obviously we are well known the for dairy, beef, and leather goods industries, but few people know livestock for their artistic prowess. How do you address this with potential customers?

2) I plan to focus on portraiture work with ducks, dinosaurs, and homeschoolers as my subjects. Do you have any marketing ideas? I'm particularly interested in a kick-ass logo/watermark that I can plaster across my images where I will display them on Myspace.

3) The lack of opposable thumbs is clearly a practical disadvantage for livestock. Please share your tips and tricks for effectively handling photographic equipment with hooves.

Thanks so much in advance,

Stella Guernsey

I know right? 4 little kids, too much chocolate, and not enough alcohol are pushing me up against the boundaries of sanity today.
