i'd say it's a nice try to make a not so interesting subject better through post-processing, but overall it's too dark. i think vignetting would be a better solution. and the selective coloring doesn't really do it for me.

I really like the darkness from the picture. I think it is nice that you have maked that stroke orange. That gives something special.

i think vignetting would be a better solution.

Looks to me like it's already got a huge vignette on it, which just makes it a bit grey and detracts from the contrast that should be there.
