Thanks everybody. I liked this shot the moment I pressed the shutter release but to get it here from there took some work. This was a student of mine who volunteered to model for the class in the dance studio (she danced her way to a degree from NYU). Though I liked the pose, composition, etc., it was the bangle on her left wrist, the slash of blue hair and the nose ring which killed it for most anything else. Thus, it sat in my archives for a fair amount of time until one day when the little monsters were testing, I futzed with it in Photoshop...practicing what I preached to them everyday, "don't give up on a shot until you can no longer hear it breathe." I could have stayed in color but the hair was more challenge than I wanted and I really liked this monochromatic toned quality to the image. A large image of this on canvas hangs in her parent's foyer and in her dorm room.
