Looking for camera advice

I'm looking for a new camera and love doing HDR photography and need some help. The Sony NEX-5n is a GReAT camera but the AEB on it BLOWS - what are other great options that do 3 or preferably 5 bracketed shots - in at LEAST 1 EV steps? E-P3 seems like a great option out there - I'm not opposed to a full size DSLR just wanna keep it under 1k. Been eying the K-5 from Pentax as an option also.

In my opinion, ANY camera that can shoot on manual will work fine. I never use AEB because I rarely shoot the same number of over and under exposures. Get something you like, that the controls work for you, shoot on manual and go for it.

Personally, I shoot with an Olympus E-600 and an E-P1. I am looking at getting an E-PL2 at some point.

I even used to use my point and shoot with manual mode, and it worked fine as well.

Any camera that has M on it is an ideal camera for HDR.

Unfortunately without accessories (promote, tethering) any Canon that is not in the 1D series will not shoot AEB over 3 shots.

Your best bet is Nikon.

Some people see the need for AEB, some do not think it necessary. I am in the camp that believes this is a highly convenient function that allows you to take more exposures in a shorter period of time. 3, 5, 7 and 9 AEB options solve 2 problems: Less subject ghosting (such as moving clouds), and less camera shake (from moving dials manually).

You could go sony dslr. With the new a65 and a77 you can get older alpha series model pretty cheap. get one of those and some sigma glass and your all set.

I get up to 9 bracketing shots on my Canon 60D - using Unified/UserGuide - Magic Lantern Firmware Wiki And I’m quite pleased with it. Works with other Canon cameras as well.
