Cool. I have my Pop's old shoe shine kit from the 60's.

For many years, on a lonely stretch of highway NW of us there was an old scraggly tree whose branches hung over the road. No idea who started the practice but at some point someone thought it would be a good idea to tie the shoe laces of their old shoes together and throw them up in the tree. Fast forward several years, and the tree became the "Tree of Lost Soles" covered with thousands of pairs of shoes. Sadly age and all that extra weight took it down a couple years ago.
