This lovely picture has been captured in Gdańsk (Poland) and it reflects the atmosphere of this place where couples in love can lock their love for ever
I'm sure that You do know plenty of such places somewhere else in the World, don't You?

Here in Poland we have plenty of those - to be precise in almost each 'large' cities

So You are saying that in the USA, its not so popular idea?

I'm thinking it was Amsterdam where the photo was taken.

No, frankly I have not seen this in the USA.

Amsterdam suits well to this idea. So many lovely bridges...

We have bridges, but it seems everyone is moving at least 35 MPH or more while crossing them.

I never knew about this till recently and it gave me a unique idea for my gift to my husband for our 20th anniversary this Sunday. I have never seen them here in the US, but after a Google search, it seems they are very popular in Europe, especially Paris. I found out when I mentioned it to a friend last week that she and her partner have one on a bridge over the river Seine[??] in France.

In the USA it is not a popular thing but I have seen a very famous place in S. Korea, I think in Seoul that has such a place.

You know... it's funny. I was just listening to an interview on NPR where they talk about the damages these Love Locks do to bridges. I love the photo... hate that it's part of something destructive to old bridges.
