Loving black and white photogrpahy!!

Two newborn photos that I really liked in b&w. It seems... the more I shoot in b&w the more I like it. The 3rd is my nephew who is completely full of life but is now wheelchair bounds thanks to Muscular Dystrophy. He has so much personality I just love every chance I get to take pictures of him. All these shot with my D90 and 50mm 1.8 Nikon lens. C&C always welcomed and encouraged to help me learn. Thanks for looking!

The first one is really not so great. It's all glowing white, blown out head.
The second is a beautiful sentiment. You need to adjust the shadow under the tiny hand.
The third is very flat and gray. No white to it. Needs a boost in brightness.

didn't mean to delete #3, i went back to photobucket to compare photos and it definately looks darker online then it does on my computer file. I uploaded this one to do a comparison and in the mean time deleted the original. anyhow... hope this version looks better. Seems no matter what I do once it uploads its darker then the original in Photoshop. Thanks for the feedback!
