Has anyone ever use slr-lounge's stackable preset for lr4 or lr5??

I am a little confused as to how it works?

They have like 8 groups, can you mix the group to make your own presets or only a few of them can be mixed?

Base presets for example doesnt seem stackable, then there are cool and warm curves that is "suppose" to be stackable but when i click either or the picture changes.

I've only vaguely heard of SLR-Lounge and this is the first time I've heard the term 'stackable presets'.

I'm guessing that you must mean presets that can be applied one after another, with the second one not 'undoing' what the first one did. Is that about right?

As far as I understand Lightroom, there is no voodoo going on with presets. They are simply a list of specific adjustments that you could make yourself. When making a preset, you can choose which adjustments will be affected (and thus which ones won't.) So if your first preset made adjustments to exposure and the second preset made adjustments color, I guess you could say they were stackable. But you could apply the color one first and end up with exactly the same result. They key is that they don't have any conflicting adjustments selected.

The way that Lightroom works, is that none of the adjustments you make, are actually applied to the image until you export. So it doesn't really matter what order you make your adjustments. Lightroom will apply the edits in the order that their engineers deem to be best.

What big mike said. When you make presets, you check and uncheck what you want to affect. So if you dont check most of it, I guess it is kinda like stackable.l
