Loverly. I am never disappointed when clicking on your threads. I love the detail and color.

Curious though, and this is a sincere question not meant to provoke any debates - I know that you don't like doing much post-processing. How do you get your colors so vibrant straight from the camera? Is it all just proper exposure? I feel like I always have to tweak the contrast or saturation to get similar vibrance in my images.

I shoot jpeg vivid.

I can't say I don't ever tweak colors, I will if they need it... Capture NX is particularly good that this... however, with vivid mode chosen, that usually isn't a problem.

Most folks don't use their cameras with the vivid knob cranked up to 11.

The reason for this is simple... most people take pictures of other people, and setting your camera this way looks horrible for people pictures but good when taking macaw pictures.
This one is was with a $200 Canon point & shoot, an A710 IS.

I LOVE the detail you caught it the feathers! It just makes me want to reach out and pet him!
