Obviously it's not a professional way to take macro photos, but, it's still a cool thing to mess around with..

Yeah no problem.
It works with a computer cd player too I read.
I might try it, if so I'll post some pictures..

DVD has a shorter focal distance than CD so it would work a bit better. Try doing it with a bluray lens.

Well actually if memory serves it won't work but a HD-DVD lens may.
