Male and female snowy owl

This male was very content to just sit on this pole normally the males fly away before we can get within 150 feet but this year the males just dont seem as jumpy

Isn't it fantastic when they sit still for you???

Their color is an amazing evolutionary adaptation in the snow. You can hardly see them in the snow.

Great pair of owls there!

Thank you it is a male siting in the snow is almost impossible to see unless it moves a female hides better when mixed in with snow and dirt to match there colours
