I love the way the dog is totally focused on his owner but my eye is distracted from the man and dog by the reflection in the window behind him. It's very bright.

Something is missing.
You are immediately attracted to the dog ... but there is no visual reason for the dog to be looking at the guy ... and the guy is looking outside the image ... it's an unknown story.

To me, it doesn't look like the dog is looking at the dude. They both look like they are looking out to the left of the frame. What are they looking at?
