Manuel Focus DMC G10?!?

I have the lumix dmc g10

and ive got the moon in shot with my telephoto lens, but when i try manually focus on the moon, and press the shutter it comes out of focus and the zoom comes back out, so its just a bright white circle of the moon, i got the focus on the craters of the moon but when i hit the shutter it comes off the focus... whaat the f@*ck? LOL.
someone help pleaase!!
