Mardi Gras for C&C please

For some reason, I couldn't get the WB quite right - the front one is actually gold. Shot with one strobe through umbrella. Also, wasn't happy with the highlights, but couldn't get rid of them while throwing enough light. Any help or comments appreciated.

Your light source is very hot ...try a broader source softer. The black bkgnd also adds to the contrast. Tighter crop would be better also.

So, come in tighter with the umbrella and crank it down? Or would a softbox be better? Thanks
